Lately..

I've been thinking about something I was once told.

Imagine if someone was standing on the edge of this pool and there was someone in the pool hanging on to the edge. If the person in the pool were to grab the person standing on the edge and pull them, it would be much easier for them to pull that person on the edge downward into the pool, than it would be for the person on the edge to pull the person in the pool upward.

This is so true concerning whats right and wrong. It is much easier to fall downward to peer pressure and the ways of the devil than it is for us to stand up and live for the Lord.

I also like to think about how once we give in we are generally stuck. Imagine if that person in the pool were to have the person standing on the edges hand... The person in the pool would have a part of that person already. This would make getting them in the pool much easier. Once you give in on just one aspect it also effects all other aspects as well.

No one said it would be easy but I promise you it will be worth it! Living for the Lord is the best and most important decision you could ever and will ever make!
